Biofortification Hub Funding Call 2026

The Biofortification Hub offers funding to support innovative research, collaboration, events and mobility between Academia and Industry.

The 2026 Hub Funding Call opened in February 2026. The deadline to submit proposals is the 24 April 2026 (18:00 GMT).

The Hub is seeking to support research projects in the following areas:

• Biofortification of food, feed and fodder
• Consumer Science and Social / policy aspects of crop and food biofortification

The type of funding provided includes:

• Proof of Concept (PoC) award – up to 12 months & £100K (£50K recommended)
• Business Interaction Voucher (BIV) – up to 9 months & £50K (£25K recommended)

In addition, the Biofortification Hub also offers Flexible Mobility Awards (FMAs) to encourage and support work placements between academia and industry.
